Through the course of my career, I've dedicated many years to working with at-risk youth to assist them with overcoming trials and setbacks associated with environmental, physical, and emotional stressors. My interests and specialties include serving clients with:

• Women's Issues
• Childhood Trauma
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Family reunification
• Relationship building

My services include individual, family, and couples counseling. I use a variety of modalities which incorporate best practice from DBT, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Short-term Problem Solving. I believe in a strengths-based approach that is guided by the individual needs of the client.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group settings. I have worked with clients living with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, social difficulties, childhood trauma, and more.

I utilize psychodynamic and systems theories in my clinical practice, which allows us to explore your struggles from a holistic lens. Together, we can work to understand and contextualize your struggles, as well as highlighting your strengths so that you can feel more fulfilled and connected to others.

 Steven Uhlmann-Clarry,
LMSW

I am a Licensed Master of Social Work specializing in work with adolescents and adults. I completed graduate course work at CUNY Hunter’s Silberman School of Social Work in 2018 with a focus on individual, family, and group therapy. I am most effective when working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, and identity/ social struggles.

I approach therapy using psychodynamic theory, as well as systems theory. In my experience, these two schools of thought best explain the unconscious, past, and out-of-sight influences of mental health and social struggles. By blending these two schools of thought, we can discover the root causes of your present-day struggles so that you may have greater insight into who you are holistically.

I believe every person has a rich history worthy of exploration. In our work together, I aim to earn your confidence, provide you with support and warmth, build healthy relationships, and gently challenge you to grow into your ideal self.
